What is 1Fuel Blu AdBlue® ?
Newer diesel-fuelled engines are equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to comply with tightening emission laws.
Sensors in the exhaust system monitor the gases and sprays AdBlue when required to break down harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx), converting it to safe nitrogen and water vapour.
SCR Systems require a water/urea solution that is injected into hot exhaust gases, releasing ammonia that causes a reaction with your diesel particulate filter and breaking down noxious gases into Nitrogen, Oxygen and Water and minimising environmental impacts.
1Fuel Blu AdBlue® /DEF/ AUS 32 is a 32.5% solution of high-purity urea in de-mineralized water that is clear, non-toxic and safe to handle. It is non explosive, non flammable nor harmful to the environment. AdBlue® /DEF/ AUS 32 is classified under the minimum risk category of transportable fluids. It is not a fuel, nor a fuel additive and needs to be used in a dedicated tank in your vehicle. It is replenished in a similar way to refuelling diesel.
1Fuel Blu meets AdBlue® quality standards ISO 22241. 1Fuel Blu AdBlue® is suitable for storage in its original package for up to 18 months from the date of manufacture found on the packaging if properly stored in temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
